Inside look at the Verandah Room on the Disney Wish Cruise Ship
Verandah Room On The Disney Wish
Ready to set sail aboard a Disney Cruise? Join me for this Stateroom Tour of a Verandah Room on the Disney Wish. The Disney Wish is the fifth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet that launched in 2022. This ship is pure magic from bow to stern, and the magic continues inside the incredibly comfortable and equally gorgeous staterooms.
Disney Wish Verandah Stateroom
Stateroom Features
During our cruise, we chose a Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah. These staterooms feel so clean and new! Each of the staterooms features a specific Disney movie theme with a mural above the bed. It’s always fun to walk into your room and be surprised by which theme you will have.
The staterooms can accommodate up to 4 people. There is a comfortable queen size bed and a couch bed and pull down bunk bed. The two additional beds are separated by a curtain in the room, giving additional privacy by splitting the room in half.
Disney Cruise Line rooms also feature a split bathroom design. There is one bathroom that has a toilet and sink. The other bathroom features a shower with a bathtub and an additional sink. I personally liked this as it allowed people to get ready and use the bathroom at the same time.
The best part of the stateroom though is of course the verandah. This private verandah features two deck chairs and one small table. This is perfect for enjoying beautiful views of the ocean while enjoying room service.
During our stay, we had 3 adults in the stateroom. While the couch bed was not the most comfortable, the stateroom was more than accommodating and all 3 of us felt we had ample space for our weekend cruise.
Room features:
- 1 queen bed PLUS the addition of a couch bed and bunk bed to sleep 4 guests in total
- Split bathroom design, one room with toilet, second room with shower/bathtub
- Private Verandah with 2 deck chairs
Verandah Experience
One of my personal favorite parts of cruising is being able to walk out my door and be greeted by gorgeous oceanfront views and the fresh ocean air in my face. Upgrading your room to a private verandah stateroom is 100% the money in my opinion. I have sailed with and without a verandah, a verandah is definitely better. For me, always having a deck chair and private area to relax while enjoying the ocean views is worth it.
As I mentioned, the Verandah comes equipped with two deck chairs and a small table. There are dividers that separate you from your next-door neighbors. This really gives you a private oasis to sit back and relax on your cruise. There is nothing better than sitting out on deck at night, reading a great book under the stars above you with the waves crashing below you.
Disney Wish Stateroom Amenities

- Spa products (Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion)

Tips For Booking Your Verandah Room On The Disney Wish
While every room on the Disney Wish is going to allow you to have a magical vacation, there are a few things to consider when choosing the location of your stateroom.
Deck Location
Choosing your deck location will determine what activities you are close to. The Disney Wish has 12 decks in total. Staying on the upper decks puts you closer to the Lido decks, which have buffets, pools and the Aqua Mouse. This is great if you want to be able to grab a quick bite to eat or pop right up to the pools to spend the day soaking up the sun. Staying on a lower deck will put you closer to the main dining restaurants, lounges, kids club and atrium.
Front, middle or back?
When choosing if you want to stay in the front, middle or back of the ship, I like to consider how prone you are to seasickness. While the Disney Wish really is great at combating rocking, sometimes it does happen. Staying in the back of the boat has personally always been where I have experienced the most ship movement. I personally like to reduce the amount of rocking as much as possible, so I always try to go for a room that is located more in the middle of the ship.
Staying in the middle of the ship also puts you in a great central location, with easy access to everything aboard. The front of the ship is great if you want quick access to restaurants and Marceline Market (the main buffet abroad). The back of the ship is perfect for adults as it is where the adults only pool and restaurant is located.
One other thing to consider when choosing a room is the proximity to the elevators. If you choose a room right outside of the elevator bay, there might be additional noise from foot traffic and the elevator “dings”. But it is also super convenient if you want to walk outside of your room and catch the next elevator.
Final Thoughts
As long as you are on the Disney Wish, you are about to embark on an incredibly magical cruise vacation. When it comes to selecting your room, I always recommend paying to upgrade to a Verandah Room On The Disney Wish to make the most of your front-row views of the ocean. Having your own private verandah truly makes you feel like a VIP.
Wishing you a truly magical cruise!
