How to optimize your Instagram account for more sales

Are you ready to turn your Instagram account into a sales machine? I am going to be sharing my top three tips for how to optimize your account for more sales, clients and customers!

1. Craft an irresistible bio

When a potential new follower stumbles across your profile for the first time, you essentially have 5 seconds to capture their attention and conver them into a follower. So how do you do that?

By creating an irresistible bio that feels tailor made for them. A new follower should instantly know who you are, who you help, and how you help them.

For example:

You know who I am: A course creator

Who I help:Online biz owners

How I help them:Get more clients and customers with Instagram

I also want to note that you should make sure to have a clear headshot of you as your profile photo and your name clearly listed as well so people can easily connect a face and name to your account

2. Optimize the link in your bio

After someone decides they want to follow you, the next step is to get them to want to click the link in your bio to take the next step towards working with you.

The link in your bio should be optimized for conversions, whether that be to book a call, enroll in your offer, buy your product or sign up for your email list.

I personally like offering a link for a free opt-in, that way you can capture the lead and continue to nurture them on your email list.

Remember to add a clear call to action in your bio to click the link. Give them a reason to click it.

For example, “Click the link for your free resource”

3. Stop saying, “link in bio”

Every post or piece of content you create should have a call to action for someone to take the next step. Whether it be to leave a comment, save the post, tag a friend or send you a DM.

Many people, myself included, use “click the link in my bio” as their call to action, however, this is a low converting call to action.

Instead, try saying something like “drop an emoji below and if you want my free guide” or “send me a DM to learn more”.

When you get someone into your DM inbox, you are able to convert them into a customer or email subscriber much better than passively having them “click the link in your bio”.
